032c AW24: NIGHTHAWKS

On January 18, 2024, 032c unveils its NIGHTHAWKS Autumn/Winter collection, marking the brand's first runway show at Paris Men's Fashion Week. Inspired by the elusive and timeless realism of painter Edward Hopper and the somber, moody color palettes of Victor Man, NIGHTHAWKS delivers a bold interpretation of timelessness, aiming to create a versatile yet mysterious city "uniform." According to the collection's statement, "NIGHTHAWKS takes a ruthless approach to 'timelessness.' The 032c Autumn/Winter 2024 collection is anti-Zeitgeist, refusing to distill the present or predict the near future as fashion typically does. NIGHTHAWKS rejects nostalgia and cynicism tied to modern times in favor of a stark realism without an era. It’s a uniform crafted not for the season, but for the city and self."

NIGHTHAWKS is about perception, exploring color and form through a fog-like, softened lens. Each garment is subtly colored, with no pure hues—just muted blues, deep greens, dark burgundies, and browns that never fully reveal themselves. Slim silhouettes emerge through a haze like glowing icons, saints of the night. The collection finds luxury in objectivity, decadence in quiet observation. Metallic Lurex threads pierce somber knits like light through clouds, while broken viscose adds a subtle glow. Evening wear features draped fabrics and understated sequins on tops, dresses, leggings, and beanies, all transitioning from day to night in a world where the sun never shines. Outfits tighten around the wearer, moving from loose to constricting as they turn inward. Tailored jackets, pencil skirts, and skinny jeans create sharp, structured looks, while parkas, leather coats, and bomber jackets offer resilience for both the fluorescent-lit diner and the darkened streets outside.

Making its debut on the NIGHTHAWKS runway is the 032c | Alpha Industries collaboration, showcasing a capsule collection of heavy nylon twill. Stripped-down black-and-blue bombers with contrasting orange lining—a signature of Alpha Industries—are the highlights of the 14-piece collection, which includes gilets, overalls, trousers, skirts, and accessories. ALPINE sunglasses, designed in collaboration with MYKITA, add a futuristic touch with their wraparound design and metallic shine, cutting through NIGHTHAWKS’ moody aesthetic. Partners for the season’s show include BYREDO for makeup, PHYTO for hair, SCAROSSA for shoes, and Germany’s BETT1.
